The Sterling Pro Football Net Point Power Rankings™ is where we start the conversation on Pro Football. We Review Points For, Points Against, Turnover Differential and Net Points for all 32 teams. We identify those teams that are out of balance between their offense and their defense. This is an trial alternate version which uses the last 3 weeks stats averaged into the season stats to provide some weighting to recent momentum.







The Pro Football Bias+ Reports™ uses the Sterling Pro Football Net Point Power Rankings as the basis for analyzing Pro Football and primarily NFL Matchups. 🏈






Remembering that this is a study, we understand the vicissitudes of Margin Analysis and that it's not 100% in predictions. It's closer to 64%. However, we celebrate those teams that beat the Bias+ and give special accolades to the team that beat the Bias+ by the largest Net Margin.

  The Sterling Net Point Power Rankings mainly focus on Pro Football. As a big Basketball fan, I thought with the season ending today, I would check out the Point Differentials to see which teams have been most dominant.  Here are the Top 3 teams for Point Differential. At number 3 we have the Memphis Grizzlies with a 56 and 25 record and a point differential of +6.1. The Grizzlies are just that Grizzly. Led by now superstar Ja Morant, they are second in scoring at 115.7 PPG, just .2 points behind number 1 Minnesota Timberwolves. Defensively they fall to 12th allowing 109.6 PPG. It will be interesting to see how their defense stands up to all playoff caliber teams.  The Boston Celtics hold the second spot with a +7.0 point differential. The Celtics have not been as prolific as the Grizzlies ranking 11th in scoring  with 111.4 PPG.   NFL Intriguing Game of the Week Philadelphia Eagles (8-1) @ Kansas City Chiefs (7-2) Bias+ Score 0.1 favors Kansas City Chiefs By Barry Sterling Mitchell   I never make the ‘Intriguing’ game choice based on how big the game is. While this game is a huge Monday night event, that would not in itself qualify. What stood out to me as intriguing is that these teams have reached the same success as leaders of their conference but in very different ways. In particular what stood out was their rankings vs their record. Although they rank 1 st in their conferences based on win percentage. The Chiefs rank 5 th in Net Points averaging 7.2 Net Points while the Eagles rank 7 th with 6.3 Average Net Points (ANP). What this means is that although they win at a high rate, they are not winning by big margins. Plus, when I saw the Bias+ score of 0.1, this game became ultra intriguing.
