NFL Intriguing Game of the Day Green Bay Packers @ Philadelphia Eagles Bias+ Score 18.1 Favors Philadelphia Eagles The traveling Aaron Rodgers Road Show coupled with the Eagles having the highest Bias+ favor of the weekend is just the start of what makes this my ‘Intriguing Game’. How about, it’s the $50 Million quarterback vs the $1.5 Million quarterback. Hmmm. Just this fact has so many implications beyond this game. But let’s stick with the game for now. That this game has the highest Bias+ Score of the week begs for some scrutiny. If you follow me on Facebook* you will see my weekly piece called the Bias+ Buster of the Week™. We celebrate the underdog that wins. In the past weeks we’ve seen the Lions beat the favored Giants, we saw the Washington Commanders win over these same Philadelphia Eagles and the drama laden New York Jets defeat the odds-on Super Bowl Favorite Buffalo Bills. We love this stuff. But can the Green Bay Packers overcome? Let’s look at the numbers. T

NFL Intriguing Game of the Week Dallas Cowboys @ Minnesota Vikings Bias+ Score 0.5 Favors Dallas Cowboys   I hesitated to choose this game as my ‘Intriguing Game’ as it’s the NFL Game of the week. As such, this game will be scrutinized to the Nth degree. My normal criteria has more to do with where these teams are in my Sterling Net Point Power Rankings™ and the resulting Bias+ Scores.   This game has the smallest Bias+ score of the week and that’s a big qualifier. However, this game has many more qualifiers. In addition to the smallest Bias+ score, the Vikings are coming off of one of the biggest wins of the season after beating the consensus Super Bowl favorite Buffalo Bills. This while the Cowboys took home a tidy L from the struggling Green Bay Packers. Although, the Vikings rank 9 th in Average Net Points at +3.9, they rank 1 st in the NFL rankings at 8 wins, 1 loss over the 8 and 1 Philadelphia Eagles since the Vikings are undefeated in their Division and the Eagl

NFL Intriguing Game of the Week Washington Commanders @ Philadelphia Eagles Bias+ Score 24.2 Favors Philadelphia Eagles You have to admit, watching the week to week exploits of the last remaining undefeated NFL team is intriguing. Not only do the Eagles have the highest favorability score of the week at 24.2 but this is a division game and division games are inherently weird. However, once you get past the upset narrative (and it’s short) there’s not much left to fuel the narrative of an Eagles loss. Let’s go to the numbers starting with Washington. The Commanders rank 24 th in Average Net Points (ANP) at -3.7. This is a season long statistic. Now, Quarterback Carson Wentz is on the bench and Taylor Heinicke is taking the snaps. In the last 3 weeks under Heinike, they average 0 ANPs breaking eve. They improved their scoring average by 1.3 Points Per Game (ppg) from 17.7 ppg to 19 ppg. Defensively, they rank a respectable 15 th, allowing     21.3 ppg. They hold 26 th pla

NFL Intriguing Game of the Week Baltimore Ravens @ New Orleans Saints Bias+ Score 5.1 Favors Baltimore Ravens My cohost Ben Dickerson on our show Ben and Barry on Football™ called this match-up “Spooky”. The 3 & 5 Saints shut out the Las Vegas Raiders last week after allowing an average of 28.6 points (PPG) up to that game. The 5 & 3 Ravens have been popular favorites in this matchup but some new information makes the potential victory very tenuous. The Saints will be led by Quarterback Andy Daulton. At age 35, Daulton is a seasoned veteran with 11 seasons under his belt. He has been chosen over the presumed starter Jameis Winston. The Baltimore Ravens are led by the mercurial Lamar Jackson. Lamar is 25 years of age and has 4 seasons in the NFL. Lamar is looking for the big contract. He only earned an average of $2,367,913 per year through 2021.  This being Lamar’s prove it year adds to the intrigue. This also happens to be his biggest pay year at $23,016,000. This sh
